Queen butterflies originate from North and South America and are a close relative to the Monarch butterfly. It is orange or brown in colour and has black wing borders and small white forewing spots on its dorsal wing surface. It can be found throughout the tropics and into the temperate regions of the Americas, Asia and Africa. It makes its home in meadows, fields, marshes, deserts, and at the edges of forests.
